Material Exploration

Propelling Waste

Beyond Itself

We explore how overlooked materials can be reimagined, reworked and given new value through design.

Wood & Timber

We are designers.

We are makers.

Our work celebrates new ways of thinking and making — embedding material stories into our projects to create meaningful, lasting connections between people, spaces and the environment.

Driven by purpose, we are compelled to explore and integrate innovative, circular materials that support the well-being of people and the planet.

This is a deeply human approach.

The Mindset Shift

Why is an old building heritage, but an old material second-hand?

We conserve buildings that have been passed down through generations because we understand their worth. Yet materials and products passed down the same way are treated as compromised — cheap, used, lesser.

Old buildings are transformed into something time-appropriate, suited to modern taste and lifestyle. Waste materials deserve the same act of imagination: propelled into something beyond themselves

Craft Intelligence

We work with material experimentation. Not restyling.

Most recycled materials are asked only to look recycled — kept at the surface, used decoratively, limited to a narrow band of applications. We are interested in materials that are beautiful and useful and high-performing, because there is craft intelligence and real R&D behind them.

We treat waste as a medium. Like paint. Like an ingredient. Something to be worked slowly and by hand — patina, tile, UV print, texture — rather than specified off a shelf.

Slow hand design. Looking into the roots of a material rather than resurfacing it.

Building the Circular Network

No materials work alone.

A circular material is only as good as the system that delivers it. We work with developers, contractors and engineers to design for disassembly and future reuse — and to get lifecycle thinking into planning early, where it still has room to shape the outcome.

"We see ourselves as the conductor of an orchestra — choosing each instrument so the whole piece reads as one coordinated work, from concept through to execution."

The search for the right R&D partners is constant and never-ending. We do not go looking when a project appears; we develop products with suppliers continuously, so that when the right project comes, the material is ready.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Reimagine. Three Rs got us this far. The fourth is where the work is.
